Previous National Senior Certificate (NSC) Results – Important Information
The National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination is administered by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and is written by full-time and part-time candidates across South Africa. This page provides access to previous NSC examination results for candidates who wrote in earlier years.
The results displayed online apply only to full-time candidates who wrote the November NSC examinations. Candidates who wrote as part-time learners must collect their results directly from the examination centre where they registered and wrote their exams.
Online results are made available to assist candidates with quick access to their performance; however, these results are for reference purposes only and should not be regarded as official documentation.

Availability of Statements of Results
The official Statement of Results is issued by the Department of Basic Education and becomes available at the school or examination centre where the candidate wrote. Candidates are advised to collect this document as it may be required for:
- University and college applications
- Learnerships and apprenticeships
- Employment opportunities
- Record-keeping and verification
If a candidate’s results do not appear online, this may be due to technical or administrative reasons. In such cases, the candidate should contact the relevant school, district office, or provincial education department for assistance.
Missing or Incomplete Results
In some instances, a candidate’s results may be withheld or excluded from online publication. This can occur due to:
- Outstanding administrative processes
- Examination irregularities under investigation
- Technical data issues
The Department of Basic Education reserves the right to update, correct, or remove information displayed online without prior notice.
